Cindee and I created this gorgeous project together after Cindee saw the creative way Georgia at stampingeorgia.com used the Thoughtful Branches hydrangea die cut!! She cut it apart into 3 pieces and made it look like 3 separate flowers!! See below for a photo of how to cut yours apart to make it look like this. I think it kind of looks like a hollyhock or a stock flower. At any rate, I love it and am so glad Georgia was so clever to think of this!
I love the perfect touch of layering the stem and flowers over an oval die cut!! The Layering Ovals framelits were perfect for this! We used a white oval and a Rich Razzleberry scalloped oval. All of the layering framelits are great for cutting a circle, square or oval and layering it onto another one of the same shape, or onto a scalloped shape!!
Cindee and I had challenged ourselves to use the Blooms & Bliss paper on pg 173 in the annual Stampin' Up! catalog (#141654), and to make a 3-d project, so Cindee came up with this design to fold a strip of the Blooms & Bliss paper over the top of the Petite Cafe Gift Bag (#135826) and also add a strip of vellum over the patterned paper. I think it came out great!
The flowers are stamped with Sweet Sugarplum ink onto Sweet Sugarplum cardstock, then die cut with the matching framelits. The stem is Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
We added touches of gold:
- Gold Foil Scalloped circle behind the "for you"
- Gold Binder Clip at the top of the bag
- 1/8" Gold ribbon and 1/4" Gold Natural trim tied on the gold clip
and we added a touch of shimmer with the Clear Wink of Stella pen on the flower "petals".
So.. you are asking.. why is Patty showing 3 Stampin' Dimensionals on this gold foil scalloped circle? Well, I was curious… I always use 3 or 4 dimensionals under something like this… but I know lots of people only use 1 in the middle… what do you do?
The Sweet Sugarplum flower paper strip (from Blooms & Bliss) is 12" x 2-1/2"
The vellum strip is 11" x 2"
Both are notched at the end on the front of the bag to look like a banner end.

Absolutely Beautiful, Patty and Cindee! Thank you for all the detailed sharing; you rock!!! Your project is absolutely beautiful (as is that bundle), I love it all! TFS! (I use two dimensionals on projects like this!)
That really is a beautiful way to use this set!! It also goes perfectly with the DSP.
I usually use two dimensionals to pop a circle like this. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful work 🙂
So pretty! It actually reminds me of lilacs!
