The long awaited Fun Fold Card Video Tutorial is finally here!! I’m sorry it’s taken me 2 months to get this published for you! I know you enjoyed the fun fold cards in THIS POST, and I made another version featuring the Stampin’ UP! Come Sail Away Suite in my video today! You can watch the video tutorial below!
Have you tried this amazing Floating Frame Press’n Seal technique for cardmaking? Cindee and I created these cards with the Stampin’ UP! Mosaic Mood designer paper and the Press’n Seal technique!!
We fussy cut the yellow rose images, butterflies and the hummingbirds from the Mosaic Mood paper, then used those for our 2 Floating Frame cards. Check out the directions and video tutorial links below in this post for all the details on this technique.
How to Make the Press’n Seal Floating Frame Card:
Stamp and die cut, or, fussy cut images to use on your card. Lay them out on the card front.
Apply a piece of Press’n Seal to the pieces, press down, and be sure the Press’n Seal is holding all images in place
Flip over and use paper snips to trim away all excess
Check the design on the front, making sure everything is where you want it
Use a die shape of your choice to cut out part of your card front (I’ve used a Stitched Square die as shown in #5 above)
Peel up the Press’n Seal, with the pieces attached
Flip the piece over and adhere LOTS of dimensionals to the cut out pieces
Flip back over and adhere to card

Watch Bruno’s video HERE for more info on how to make the Press’n Seal card.
As you can see above and below, the Press’n Seal card technique makes 2 cards.. one with the center die cut piece (below) and one with the left over Floating Frame piece (above). I added the additional butterfly above just to fill in that extra space. I kept that card simple, just matted on a Thick Whisper White card base.
Below, I matted the die cut square onto a larger white square, then onto a 4×4 piece of Mosaic Mood designer paper, then onto a 4-1/4″ square Mint Macaron card base.
Both of the greetings on my Mosaic Mood cards are from the Bloom & Grow stamp set, stamped in Early Espresso ink.
Do you love them!? I do!! Let me know if you try this fun technique!

I decorated the front of each card with some hand cut or punched out butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly paper pack. I also embellished with the gorgeous Glitter Enamel dots on each card.
Happy Birthday Friend card above features a die cut from the Well Written framelits and stamped image from the Beautiful Bouquet set.
The Daffodil Delight butterfly card below features a Sweet Pins & Tags iridescent white tag with a fussy cut butterfly on top.
Thank you Jo Anne for the inspiration on these cards.. I hope you like my take on your fun project!
The Brand New Stampin’ UP! Country Floral Embossing folder is AMAZING!! I embossed it with Watercolor Paper, and then watercolored on the embossed paper and I LOVE IT!!! The Country Floral Embossing Folder is available for a LIMITED TIME ONLY while supplies last, as your free Sale-a-Bration gift with a $50 online store purchase!
My cards today feature 4 different Sale-a-Bration products – each one a free gift with purchase. I used the Country Floral embossing folder, the Painted Seasons stamp set, the Sale-a-Bration organdy ribbon and the Home to Roost stamp set. See ALL of the free Sale-a-Bration gifts HERE.
Be sure to pin or save the graphic below so you have the instructions anytime you want to remember how to watercolor on the embossed Country Floral Image! The secret, I found, was to color one layer of each color first, let dry, then add another layer in a contrasting or darker color for the detail and shading. I did that with a slightly dryer Aqua Painter brush than the first layer.
I watercolored the one on the left, first, and added a really light Soft Seafoam green wash to the background after I colored all the flowers. I like it.. it reminds me so much of some of the fabric in the quilts from my great grandma and great aunts!! Then I did a 2nd version and switched up the colors and left the background white.
Below you will find the 2 different Stampin’ UP! color combos I used. One is just a bit brighter than the other.
Flower Layering Tip:
Stamp 2 flower images from the Painted Season Sale-a-Bration bundle, and then trim away a few of the petals on one image. Layer the 2 images together for a little extra dimension and fullness.
Above: I added a sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set stamped onto a die cut from my Stitched Labels Framelits. 6 sweet pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls pack and a little Old Olive Linen Thread bow finish off this card. I trimmed down the Watercolor Paper layer and layered it onto a piece of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, then onto a Pear Pizzazz Side Fold Card.

All of the Stampin’ UP! Supplies used on my Country Floral Embossing Folder cards today may be purchased online in my Stampin’ Up! store here, or by clicking any of the product photos at the bottom of this blog post.
Above: I added a sentiment from the Home to Roost Sale-a-Bration stamp set stamped onto a die cut from my Stitched Labels Framelits. A pearl from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls pack and a Frosted Flower embellishment finish off this card. I trimmed down the Watercolor Paper layer and layered it onto a Grapefruit Grove Top Fold Card base. I added a stamped flower from the Painted Seasons stamp set and some Grapefruit Grove Sale-a-Bration ribbon.
Are you going to give this a try? Leave me a comment and let me know!!
If you experienced some difficulty getting the Stampin’ UP! Clear Mount stamps to stick to your clear blocks in the past, and you stopped putting the labels on them like I did, just to help them stick to the block, then you were probably frustrated when you could not tell what the image was, like this photo below…
The Solution – Cling Stamps!
With Stampin’ UP! Cling Mount Stamps you can confidently put the image labels on your stamps and they will cling perfectly to the clear blocks while inking, stamping and cleaning!!
The cling mount stamps feature our fabulous red rubber, as always, but now include a strong repositionable backing that allows the label to cling perfectly to the clear blocks.
