Scalloped Note Card with Daisy Punch

Terracotta Tile is one of the new Stampin’ UP! In Colors for 2019-2021, and I used the ink, the 6×6 paper stack, the Faceted Dots and the Scalloped Note Card on my cute Daisy Punch card today!

I used the “A Little Lace” stamp set (pg 42, #149364) in Memento Black ink and stamped the large image onto the Terracotta Tile Gingham paper, and onto the die cut piece from the Wild Rose dies #149547, then lined them up on the Scalloped Note Card. Punch 2 Medium Daisies (Medium Daisy Punch #149517), in the Terracotta Tile script pattern from the 6×6 In Color Stack #149617, and add the Terracotta Tile Faceted Gems to the 2 flower centers.

I Really REALLY love the Scalloped Note Cards.  The color selection is great and they are just the right starting point for great Note Cards!  Find them on page 168 in your 2019 2020 Annual Stampin’ UP! catalog, or #149610 online here.

The finishing touch is a small 1/2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of the script Terracotta Tile patterned paper on the inside of the note card.

Dino Days Baby Card Idea

I’ll be honest.. I didn’t think I needed this Dino Days bundle or the Dinoroar suite of products at first.. but then I saw the cute egg pattern on the designer paper and the idea on page 99 in the catalog to make this baby card and I was sold!! So today I am sharing my baby card idea with you that I created for little Lucas!

The card base is a top fold 4-1/4″ x 11″ Garden Green cardstock piece, and the cute egg patterned paper is found in the Dinoroar designer paper pack (pg 100, #149589 online).  I added a blue striped tag from the Tags & More accessory kit (pg 172, #149652 online) and tied the AMAZING new Old Olive/Pretty Peacock reversible ribbon at the top of the tag, (pg 174 or #149496 online).

See the entire Dinoroar Suite on pages 98 to 100 or HERE in my online store.

We found the coziest sweats, cute socks, a hat and 2 cozy blankets for baby Lucas to wear in the fall.  We hope he’ll find them cozy and warm when the weather turns chilly and he’s a little bit bigger!

I stamped the dinosoar and the greeting, and die cut the dino and eggs using the Dino Days Bundle #151139 online .  The greeting is stamped on a label die from the Smooth Sailing die set.

Click the bundle photo or the designer paper photo to see these Stampin’ Up! products in my online store.

As a final touch, I added 2 of the cork leaves from the Magnolia Lane cork embellishment pack.  #149486.

Press’n Seal Card with Mosaic Mood Designer Paper

Have you tried this amazing Floating Frame Press’n Seal technique for cardmaking?  Cindee and I created these cards with the Stampin’ UP! Mosaic Mood designer paper and the Press’n Seal technique!!

Floating Frame Press'n Seal Card Technique featuring Stampin' Up! Mosaic Mood designer paper. by Patty Bennett www.PattyStamps.com

We fussy cut the yellow rose images, butterflies and the hummingbirds from the Mosaic Mood paper, then used those for our 2 Floating Frame cards.  Check out the directions and video tutorial links below in this post for all the details on this technique.

Press'n Seal Card Technique featuring Stampin' Up! Mosaic Mood designer paper. by Patty Bennett www.PattyStamps.com

How to Make the Press’n Seal Floating Frame Card:

  1. Stamp and die cut, or, fussy cut images to use on your card.  Lay them out on the card front.
  2. Apply a piece of Press’n Seal to the pieces, press down, and be sure the Press’n Seal is holding all images in place
  3. Flip over and use paper snips to trim away all excess
  4. Check the design on the front, making sure everything is where you want it
  5. Use a die shape of your choice to cut out part of your card front (I’ve used a Stitched Square die as shown in #5 above)
  6. Peel up the Press’n Seal, with the pieces attached
  7. Flip the piece over and adhere LOTS of dimensionals to the cut out pieces
  8. Flip back over and adhere to card

Watch Bruno’s video HERE for more info on how to make the Press’n Seal card.

Press'n Seal Card Technique featuring Stampin' Up! Mosaic Mood designer paper. by Patty Bennett www.PattyStamps.com

As you can see above and below, the Press’n Seal card technique makes 2 cards.. one with the center die cut piece (below) and one with the left over Floating Frame piece (above).   I added the additional butterfly above just to fill in that extra space.  I kept that card simple, just matted on a Thick Whisper White card base.

Below, I matted the die cut square onto a larger white square, then onto a 4×4 piece of Mosaic Mood designer paper, then onto a 4-1/4″ square Mint Macaron card base.

Both of the greetings on my Mosaic Mood cards are from the Bloom & Grow stamp set, stamped in Early Espresso ink.

Do you love them!? I do!!  Let me know if you try this fun technique!

Pressed Petal floral card idea

I Love Love Love this Pressed Petals floral card we made at Kurstan’s Bingo event last weekend!! It’s sooo pretty!!  The Pressed Petals paper can be found on page 74 or page 167 in the new Annual Catalog or HERE online.

Pressed Petals floral designer paper from Stampin' Up! Card featuring Floral Essence stamp set and Perennial Flower punch with Rococo Rose ribbon. www.PattyStamps.com

This fun card layout is like the Bird Ballad cards I posted HERE.  We used the Floral Essence stamp set and matching Perennial Flower punch for the focal point.  After stamping the flower image we used the Blender Pen to pull some of the color toward the tip of each petal.  See graphic below.

View the entire Pressed Petals Suite of papercrafting products on pages 72 to 74, or HERE in my online Stampin’ UP! store.

The tip to making this card so easy is to use the 2 punches shown above:  the Perennial Flower punch and the Leaf Punch.  Kurstan was so clever, she used the green music note paper pattern in the Pressed Petals designer paper pack for the leaves!!!!  What a great idea!

Use the Blender Pen to pull ink from the stamped image from the flower center toward the tips of each petal.

I LOVE this design tip:  Use a strip of the Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon as an accent on the card, and cover 1/2 of it with the Hello greeting sentiment stamped on Whisper White!

Come Sail Away sailboat card idea

The Stampin’ UP! Come Sail Away Suite is amazing!  Find it on pages 144-146 in your new Stampin’ UP! catalog or HERE online.  I created a sailboat card for you today using the elements in this suite.

Come Sail Away Stampin' Up! designer series paper card idea with Sail Away Trinkets, and sailboat colored with Stampin' Blends markers. Patty Bennett www.PattyStamps.com

I stamped the sailboat from the Sailing Home stamp set on Whisper White in Night of Navy ink, then used my Stampin’ Blends markers to give it a hint of color before die cutting it with the Smooth Sailing dies.  The anchor was stamped with Soft Suede ink and I added some Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends marker to it to give it more dimension before die cutting it.

The “set sail..” sentiment in this set makes a great greeting card for many occasions, including graduation, don’t you think?  I stamped it in Terracotta Tile ink (a new 2019 2021 In Color) to give a pop of color to this card.

I used the Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends marker to color the Frosted and Clear Epoxy droplets to coordinate with the card.

The papers in the background are from the Come Sail Away designer paper pack and the greeting is stamped on a die cut from the Smooth Sailing dies.
