I wanted to fill you in and let you know how these new product announcements might affect product availability, your future purchases and your crafting experience!
A new Die Cutting system from Stampin’ Up! will be replacing the current Big Shot. This is exciting news, as it means that Stampin’ Up! will be working directly with the manufacturer to bring all of us a new die cutting / embossing machine and that we will have more direct control over the design AND availability of products!!
A new paper cutter from Stampin’ Up! will be replacing the current Stampin’ Trimmer.
How will it affect you?
There will be a gap in time between when the Big Shot and the Stampin’ Trimmer retire with this current catalog (or sell out) until the time when the new products are available (we don’t know exactly how long this will be, but there will NOT be a Big Shot or a paper trimmer in the new 2019-2020 catalog in June)
If you need to stock up on some Stampin’ Trimmer supplies, do that soon. They have ordered what they hope to be a 6 month supply of trimmer blades, but they could go quickly. (Links below)
Continue to use your Big Shot or other die cutting machine with all Stampin’ UP! embossing folders and dies
Watch for a new style of dies and embossing folders in the new 2019-2020 catalog!! Continue to use them with your current die cutting machine.
Dies, embossing folders and trimmer accessory items COULD sell out quickly, so shop early and don’t wait for the retiring list on Monday, April 15 to place your order if you have had your eye on any of the current dies or folders!
Whether you are cutting fancy shapes, basic shapes, or even just embossing, you'll need the Stampin' UP! Big Shot machine!! I would say that I use mine almost every day!
Create projects like cards, gift packaging, treats, home decor (like banners which are so trendy right now!) and most designs coordinate with one or more Stampin' Up! stamp sets!
Watch the video below to learn how to use all the different types of framelits, thinlits, 3-d boxes and embossing folders!

Today's Halloween Treat is a Double French Fry Box.. this is SO cute!! Cindee designed it for us.. it's so amazing!!
You have probably seen the Stampin' UP! French Fry box Big Shot die before.. well, this one is DOUBLE the fun because it's 2 of them put back to back!!! Here is a MINI tutorial for you! Cindee showed us how to make sure we got the oval punch in the same spot on both pieces.. punch a post it note oval, place it on the die cut and punch, then line up the 2 die cut pieces and punch through the oval.. both pieces will be punched in the same spot!
Thank you Cindee for teaching me how to make this ADORABLE 3-d treat box! It's so easy and it's so fun!!
To decorate it, we stamped the adorable hat from the Howl-o-Ween Treat stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink and then die cut it with the matching Boo to You framelits!! The spider is too adorable and was stamped and die cut with the same sets!
Did you see this fun tip? I folded the Spider Web doily instead of cutting it in 1/2 and I loved the white "shadow" that it gave.. isn't that cool!?
Dress up little chocolates or candies by wrapping your paper scraps around them and tie it with ribbon or thick baker's twine… sweet.. right!? Thanks Cindee for that great idea too! We die cut the BOO out of Black Glimmer paper.. oh my .. so sparkly!!

I'll tell you how blessed I am .. my friend Cindee is so sweet and amazing and she made this Berry Basket for me – just because! It wasn't even any special occasion!! This beautiful gift came complete with a gorgeous die cut flower and beautiful Violet plant!!!
Cindee found an awesome way to make this Berry Basket stronger than just die cutting it with the Painted Blooms paper… you'll love her quick and easy idea using the Coaster Board sheets from Stampin' Up! in the Big Shot! watch her video here! View her video for the flower here!
Thank you Cindee.. you are such an amazing friend and awesomely talented crafter!
You will find the fabulous Stampin' UP! products to make this project in the
Occasions catalog, available through June 2, 2015.
Several of you asked for more info about storing specific crafting items, so I will be doing a short series of extra blog posts with more info on how I store and organize specific items. Today we are talking about organizing Stampin' UP! framelits for the Big Shot.
As you can see, I use the Stampin' Up! Clear Mount Stamp Set Cases (available in the catalog or HERE online).
Tips Proven to Work Well for me:
Slip in some designer paper to make them pretty (this is a GREAT way to use up your retired Designer Paper!), and I put a piece of magnet sheet inside to hold the framelits.
The magnet sheets I use are self stick and were sold by Stampin' Up! years ago (I am sure hoping we sell them again some day!!)… but you can also find them online or sometimes in your home improvement stores in the HVAC section… they are used to place over your heating/cooling vents when not in use.
One tip you'll also see above is that I like to buy 2 of each framelit set so that I can cut double the # of images/shapes at once.. it's such a time saver for me when prepping for an event or making multiple cards for Customer Thank You's or for swaps.
Lastly, use a label maker to label the spine so that you can easily find the set you are looking for.
So this is the card that I featured in the video. I used the beautiful Painted Blooms paper in the background and the Painted Petals stamp set on the tag. For directions on stamping the tag, click here to see the video.
I sponged just a little bit of Coastal Cabana on the Pool Party die cut butterflies with a sponge dauber.. I loved the dimension that gave them!!
If I can help you with a Stampin' Up! order, please let me know!
