I love everything about this card! I love the watercolor-look tree image, the layered ovals, the sponged edges, the stamped background, and the simple embellishments! I stamped this card one day when I was crafting at Cindee's house. We took some inspiration from Pinterest, but ended up making it pretty much our own :) Isn't that was crafters do? 🙂
I used the Stampin' Up! Rooted in Nature stamp set and framelit dies (get them in a bundle at a discount!), and the Handwritten background stamp!
I posted a video a few days ago showing how to stamp this watercolor-look tree. I'm including it in my post below.
Die cut a watercolor paper oval with the Stitched Shape framelits for the tree image
Sponge the edges of the oval and the background image with Soft Suede ink for a beautiful soft touch
Stamp the Handwritten background stamp in Soft Suede ink on a piece of Nature's Poem Designer Paper
Stamp and die cut leaves with the Rooted in Nature bundle
Add a Linen Thread bow to the card for one last "natural" looking embellishment
Watch the video below for details on coloring and spritzing the tree image for the watercolor look

Hello! Thank you for joining me today for another handstamped card idea! Today I am featuring the Stampin’ Up! Bokeh Dots background stamp as well as the Spectrum Rainbow pad that I inked with my Stampin’ Up! ink refills!
For this colorful birthday card idea, I inked the Bokeh Dots background stamp with my spectrum pad (it is the perfect size!!) and stamped it onto Whisper White cardstock. I cut that to 1/4″ around the image, layered it onto the Gorgeous Grape printed paper from my Brights 6×6 Designer Paper Stack and then onto a 3-1/2″ x 5″ Stampin’ Up! thick whisper white note card! I finished off the card with 3 of the Glitter Enamel Dots and a stamped greeting in Gorgeous Grape from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.
A couple weeks ago when I received my New Stampin' Blends markers in my Stampin' Up! order, I grabbed this Beautiful You stamp set and stamped several images to try out the new marker colors. This is a great set to use when practicing your coloring.
I stamped the lady image from Beautiful You with Memento Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then colored with my Stampin' Blends. I used the Flirty Flamingo combo pack, the Poppy Parade combo pack and Bermuda Bay combo pack. I matted the smaller white piece onto Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
The base card is a thick Whisper White Note Card stamped with Pool Party and the Handwritten background stamp.
Learn how to color with the new Stampin' Blends in my FREE VIDEO TUTORIAL below.
It may not be frosty cold here in California, but we still have occasions to wear mittens in the cool nights. :) I thought these adorable mittens from Stampin' Up! were so cute and wanted to feature them in a fun card for you today!
I was originally inspired by a card done by Barbara Strauss Nagle, and put my own twists on it. I stamped the background with Pool Party ink on Whisper White cardstock using the Marbled background stamp (pg 165 2017 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog), and then embossed it with the Winter Wonder snowflake embossing folder.
Doesn't the marbled background stamp make it look like swirling wind and snow?
The snowflakes are stamped in Pool Party ink, and the greeting (from Hearts Come Home stamp set) is stamped in Island Indigo ink.
The mittens are die cut using the Many Mittens framelit dies on pg 38 of the 2017 Holiday catalog. I used stamp images from the Smitten Mittens stamp set – buy these together and SAVE 10% on the bundle!
I finished off the mittens with stamped and die cut images from the Smitten Mittens bundle and the blue Glitter Enamel shapes. The mittens are "tied together" with silver trim from the Mini Tinsel Trim combo pack.
Watch the Smitten Mittens Stampin' Up! Video below for more ideas!
Thank you for joining me today!

I was trying to think of a good background for my Painted Harvest sunflower cards, and I noticed my Burlap Background stamp on my shelf, so I pulled that out and used it for these sunflower cards… and I love how it lends the perfect fall, rustic touch to these cards! Find the Burlap Background stamp on page 165 of your 2017-2018 annual Stampin' Up! catalog or HERE online for clear mount and HERE online for wood mount.
I inked the Burlap background stamp in Crumb Cake ink and stamped one of the Whisper White panels, then went ahead and stamped a 2nd one without reinking.. so you'll see the variations in lighter and darker burlap backgrounds in this post.
I also added strips of Painted Harvest designer paper to each card as well as Glitter Enamel Dot embellishments.
I had fun playing with different ribbon embellishments, different cardstock colors for the base card and different colors for stamping the sunflower. Scroll down to see the VIDEOin this post with more info about stamping the sunflower.
The You are Remarkable greeting is found in the Remarkable You stamp set (pg 142 annual catalog) and the Thankful greeting is found in the Painted Harvest set #144783.
The sunflowers are punched with the Starburst Punch and layered onto Daffodil Delight circles.
The leaves are all stamped in Emerald Envy ink on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, then punched with the Leaf Punch. The leaf punch is part of the 10% off bundle: Painted Harvest Bundle #146021
Happy Birthday is a greeting found in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set, #143662.
Using Black Rhinestone jewels in the center of the sunflower is a fun way to dress up the card, too!
I previously shared this video with tips for stamping the Painted Harvest Sunflower.. if you missed it, please take a look, and it should help you with this stamp set.

You may already have the Coffee Cafe bundle from Stampin' UP!., and if you do, you may have already discovered that you don't have to just create coffee drinks with the bundle!! How about an ice cold glass of lemonade!? 🙂
I combined my Lemon Zest bundle (pg 90 in the current Stampin' Up! catalog) with the Coffee Cafe bundle for this cute, refreshing card!
And you are probably saying… Um, Patty, WHY do you have the marbled stamp in that photo??? It's because I stamped it over and over in Daffodil Delight on top of the cup die cut to make lemonade… I liked the way it's swirling around in the cup!!
If you are interested in purchasing any of the supplies to make any of the projects you see here on my blog, just click on any of the product photos at the bottom of this post to go right to my online store.
Save 10% !!! The Lemon Zest stamp set and punch, as well as the Coffee Cafe stamp set and framelit dies are both available in a bundle… automatically saving you 10% on your purchase! See product photos at the bottom of this post for more info and shopping links!
Can you see how I used the lemon punch in a couple of ways!? 🙂
I also stamped the ice cubes from the Coffee Cafe bundle in the cup and then added Fine-Tip glue to them, let it dry and it dries glossy!! They look wet and cold!! It doesn't take long to dry… especially in the summer weather!
Can you see the swirls in the cup from the Marbled background stamp!?
Don't the ice cubes look shiny and wet!!? Too fun!!
