I did a presentation for my Luv 2 Stamp Group team of demonstrators over the weekend and included this beautiful Silver and Blue Poinsettia card as a “bonus idea” to the Poinsettia Place bundle projects I presented. If you have not seen, touched or used the Plush Poinsettia flocked vellum paper yet, you really should check it out. I think you’ll love it!
For this Silver and Blue Poinsettia card I die cut the Poinsettia flowers, leaves and sprigs with Silver Foil paper in my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, adhered all the layers together with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and layered the flower onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Plush Poinsettia flocked vellum. To make the vellum pattern stand out against the Seaside Spray blue cardstock, I added a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White cardstock behind it. Kind of a “reverse layering effect”, but I love how it turned out!! The base card is Seaside Spray and coordinates perfectly with the blue adhesive backed gems I added to the card!

I wanted to add some of the beautiful Metallic Mesh ribbon to this card, so I made a loop, twisted it in the center and secured it to the card with a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet, then just stuck the Silver Poinsettia die cut flower to the adhesive! yay!! Double duty!
This Silver Die Cut Poinsettia is so frosty and pretty, and I feel could be used for a winter birthday card, thank you card, Christmas card, winter wedding or even a sympathy card! What do you think?
