We made these delightful ornaments in one of my recent Stampin' Up! Christmas classes… everyone loved them!!! I got the idea from a tutorial from " Create with Connie and Mary " – they have a wonderful Holiday project section that I subscribe to. For full instructions, please join their Holiday Edition Subscription.
I followed their instructions but changed a few things… I cut out Stampin' Up! onboard chipboard sheets using the largest circle on the Circles #2 die and the Big Shot, and that became the "bones" of my ornament. Using sticky strip around the edge of the chipboard circle, we "pleated" Victoria Crochet Trim around the circumference. The beautiful Cherry Cobbler image is from the Christmas Collage background stamp in the Holiday Mini catalog. Just stamp it on Natural Ivory cardstock with Cherry Cobbler ink and cut it out.
I used MY DIGITAL STUDIO to print out several different designs that could be punched out with the 1-3/4" Circle punch and added to the front of the stamped image. A similar idea was repeated on the back using the My Digital Studio images and punches.

I love these — you did an awesome job on the ribbon ruffles. I need to practice big time on getting mine to look like that!!

Very nice Patty – they look simple to do. You could put them on top of the empty button/brad boxes to use as an ornament/gift holder or to put candy in for a special treat. They would make great gifts for teachers and special people that you come in contact with every day.
WOW! Your ornaments are FABULOUS! Great project.
LOve these Patti! Hope you don’t mind but I am casing these. AS usual your work is impressive and always inspiring! Thanks for all the sharing you do!
Patty these are great. Can you tell me which downloads you used? I was looking and I can’t find most of the images you show. Thanks.
Patty…Thanks for Sharing…..I too just did some of the Christmas MDS images and use punches too. I can’t wait to play around with trying to do these and the pleating around the chipboard with the items you mentioned…GREAT JOB!
Love these & love MDS!
I put this comment on the wrong post the first time round, but … I have searched the catalog, searched the mini, searched mds and cannot find the stamp/image/whatever for the “JOY TO THE WORLD” image that is used on these ornaments. I love it and really would like to know where it came from. Can you help me please? ~chris
OM goodness! These are just so beautiful! Funny coz I have a similar one but yours is much more classy. I think it’s because of the lace ribbon you placed around your tags. Just Lovely! TFS!!!
Love your new blog header Patty … pretty cute!
