At our August Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting, we made some of the Make & Take projects from the Stampin' Up! Convention in July.

We changed some of them and kept others pretty much the same.

This was one of the projects.. we basically kept it the same as the Convention design.

Advisory Board Reunion Breakfast - Leadership - Orlando

The current and past Stampin' Up! Advisory Board members were invited to a LOVELY breakfast, poolside, at the Rosen Plaza in Orlando last week...  yes.. it was kinda dark when we first got there... but the sun was coming up quickly and soon it was just lovely! We had wonderful fruits, omelettes, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, juice, coffee, and I'm sure more.. and we got a free set (can't show you yet.. but it's on pg 106).. and had a great time visiting with friends!  That was a LONG day... after that we were off to the Convention Center for a full first day of Leadership Conference, and that night was the Manager's Reception at Universal!

Managers Reception at Leadership - Orlando 2009

Stampin' Up! treated all of the Managers and above to an evening at Universal's Island of Adventure last week!!  The park was closed except for the Marvel Super Hero Island section which was open exclusively for us! We could ride the rides as much as we wanted to without any lines!  We met the super hero characters and ate gourmet food all night!  Wow.. what a night!

Check out how they had the street light posts decorated.. they go ALL OUT just to make us feel special!

DSC04799  DSC04805

They said, Crop, Stamp, Punch, Wow, and swap!! Too cool!  We sure felt SPECIAL!

Here I am being tortured (LOL) by some scary character.. I didn't get his name.. (thanks to Janna Emmert, she let me know this is Dr. Doom from the Fantastic Four!)

Here is Rich trying to make off with some of the dessert... he doesn't look very guilty... does he?  :)

Me with more Super Hero's - nice glasses, dude (left: Wolverine, right: Cyclops from X-Men - thanks Janna!):

And Spiderman striking a pose:

and last but not least.. OUR VERY OWN SUPER HERO, BRENT.... The new catalog ROCKS Brent.. just like you! :)

When we got on the chartered bus to go back to the hotel, they gave us each a Spiderman Lunch Box with a new FREE STAMP SET inside!  Can't show you the set yet... but it's on pg 55 if you have your new catalog and want to look :)

More Leadership photos tomorrow.. check in again for more fun!

Best Wishes & More samples from Regional Seminar

I was so excited to get the "Best Wishes & More" stamp set from Stampin' Up! at the Regional seminar on Saturday in Orlando.. I didn't own that set yet but it was on my wish list! They gave it to us free so that we'd have it to stamp our Make & Takes.  I was too busy talking to finish my M&T's.. but if I get them done I'll post them.

Best Wishes & More, #111602, $26.95

Here are a few really cute samples using that set from display boards at the Regional:

And I really loved this WELCOME Decor Elements sign that was on display .. I ordered that Decor Elements piece and need to look for a pretty frame for it!

More sharing tomorrow...

Stampin' Up! Leadership in Photos - part 1

Whew.. I'm back home from Leadership after another 13 hour travel day... AND I experienced THE WORST fear of any stamper.... my luggage doesn't show up when I get to my home airport... I'm thinking of all my swaps and all my free stamp sets and all my Make & Take supplies.. etc.  (never fear, I had  my new catalog WITH ME on the plane!)....  BUT it wasn't just myluggage that was missing... somehow they couldn't find the entire group of luggage that had traveled from Orlando to California via Albuquerque!!!.. aaaack!   We kept asking the Southwest agent to track down all our suitcases and FIANLLLLLY an hour after we landed they "found them" all and whoosh, they came tumbling through the baggage carousel... That was ONE tense hour!  :)

So.. if you don't know WHY I was tense about the missing luggage... HERE is what was in there (in addition to my clothes, etc):

Sm DSC05376

All my Memento Mall purchases, my 4 free stamp sets, all my Make & Take stuff, all my swaps and gifts, free Decor Elements that they gave us, and my Super Hero Tin from the Manager's Reception evening!

I guess the TSA agent found this an interesting assortment of luggage items, cuz they searched my bag:

The Memento Mall Stampin' Up! Exclusive items were sooooo fun this year!  Here are few of them:

Pencil Bags and pencils in a new DSP pattern called Raspberry Tart:

Sm pencils DSC04520

YES!  A new umbrella.. I've had my yellow tulip Stampin' Up! umbrella for sooo many years and it's "dying", so I'm really happy to have a new one with the new Fifth Avenue Floral design on it.

A cute flamingo:

 Sm flamingos DSC04525

And we each got the CUTEST BAG ever when we checked in... as if the bag wasn't cute enough, it came with our NEW CATALOG, a Spanish version catalog, a new Decor Elements catalog, a free stamp set, our info for the week, a pen, a pin, .... wow... amazing!

Sm bag DSC05367

It has 4 slots for cards, so I put 4 swap cards in it from fellow demonstrators!

I had made a chipboard tag covered in DSP before we left.. I was HOPING it would coordinate with the bag we got.. boy did I get lucky! :)

Sm tag DSC05363

The stripes are one of the patterns in the new Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP, which is cardstock weight and textured!! It's FAB paper and sure to be a favorite!

I've got lots of goodies from Memento Mall to share as incentives and prizes with my downline and for BLOG CANDY here.. so keep watching!

Tune in tomorrow and the next day, and the next... and well, every day!! for more updates and photos!

Leadership Recap

Hello from Orlando.. Leadership 2009 is officially done.. except for dinner tonight with my Advisory Board buddies! :)  What a great 2+ days.. fabulous motivational speakers, great demonstrations of new products, sneak peeks, displays, etc.!  Next year I hope you plan to join me!  It's a GREAT way to boost your spirits, get motivated and mingle with the leaders of the company! Sr. Supervisors and above are invited to attend!

Tomorrow I'm staying for the Regional Seminar! yahoo!

I guess it was a good thing that my laptop won't read my new high capacity camera memory card... I verified with the Stampin' Up! Compliance department that NO SNEAK PEEK PHOTOS of new products are allowed to be posted to the internet until the catalog release date of January 19.  So I can't share photos of new things until then, but I will post pix of some swaps and other fun photos as soon as I get home on Monday. Yes, I realize other people are doing it and as much as you know I LOVE TO SHARE, I will not be breaking the rules.

I am still on a total high about the Digital Scrapbooking announcement! I've been asking for that for YEARS!

As announced on the Stampin' Up! site there will be some fabulous new promotions and offers coming up in the next few weeks and months... as if the new catalog weren't enough! :)  So how does Custom Decor Elements sound!?  You will be able to get any quote or name or words you want on a Decor Elements piece! LOVE that!  How about a FREE Catalog in February!?  Stay tuned for info on how you can take advantage of that!

Last night was our Managers Reception - can you believe they closed down Universal's Island of Adventure FOR US!? We got to go on the rides without any waiting, we got free food and drinks all night (and I'm not talking "park food"... I mean catered yummy gourmet food!!), and the Super Heros were out all over for photo ops.. WHAT A GREAT NIGHT.. THEN.. A FREE STAMP SET in a Superman Lunch Box!!  :)  How fun is that!?  Stampin' Up! really knows how to treat us!

Anyway.. sorry about not being allowed to post photos, I'm sure you understand my desire to stay within the policy.

Looking forward to sharing more with you soon,

Stampin' Up! announces Digital Scrapbooking!!

I am still here in Orlando for the Leadership conference with Stampin' Up! and the BIG EXCITING NEWS today was that Stampin' Up! has developed it's own Digital Scrapbooking program that will be available sometime later this year!  It is SOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING and by far the BEST digital scrappin' software I've ever seen!  I've worked with several other brands/companies and I can tell you HANDS DOWN this is the easiest to use and has the most options and "goodies" without being overwhelming! It is just awesome awesome awesome!!

I started this morning with a lovely, lavish breakfast by the pool for the Advisory Board members (past & present) complete with a free stamp set!, then all day at the conference center, then all evening at Universal's Island of Adventure (theme park) where they closed the park and only had it open to Stampin' Up! managers and above!  It was amazingb (and ANOTHER free stamp set)!!  The photos will tell the story... but.. alas, I still can't get this laptop to read my new 8gb memory card (UGH!) so I will be sharing photos on Monday when I get home!

Looking foward to learning more at the conference tomorrow! :)

New Stampin' Up! Catalog from Leadership 2009!

I'm reallllllllllly excited today... I'm off to the convention center here in Orlando to check in at Leadership Conference and get my BRAND NEW STAMPIN' UP! CATALOG!!  Stay tuned for updates this week... I'll try to post news, samples, updates and fun photos for you all week!

I know the day will only get better... after being locked out of my room for nearly 2 hours last night, and security and maintenance finally using a crow bar to open my hotel door after midnight, today can only be a better day than yesterday!  (the lock failed! with all my stuff inside the room!)

Check back next week for info on how YOU can get YOUR new catalog!

Leadership Summit Trip to Utah

Last week I was in Utah again, for a Leadership Summit with Stampin' Up!   It was a wonderfully productive time with top demonstrators, owner Shelli Gardner, and the Stampin' Up! Corporate Team.  I came away full of ideas and energized with passion for my business!

Now, I can't tell you anything we discussed or show you the new DSP that we got (!!!!!) ... if i did, they could tie me up to a tree and shoot me, because we all signed a confidentiality agreement... but, I can show you a few photos!

As we took off from the Oakland airport, I snapped this fun photo of the bay and San Francisco - our house is to the right of this photo:

I know it's kind of hazy through the airplane window.. you can click to see it larger.

Fun photo of Lake Tahoe:

Our meetings were at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah.. what a neat area!  I needed an extra day for shopping... or maybe an evening without a migraine - I didn't get to go through the wonderful shops - waaaah.

Tower and store

When we entered our meeting room on day 1, we had this amazing gift waiting for us.. a personalized journal HAND MADE by Shelli and Pam, with help from Shelli's mom and a couple other friends!  HOW COOL IS THAT!?  I will treasure this always!

We had a wonderful motivational speaker, Pat Pearson... and on day 2, Stampin' Up! had purchased 2 books for us - one by Pat - and they had hand stamped bookmarks for us too!

We were also given a new personalized stamp - one for each of us - and they said we could go ahead and use it now, even though it won't be out until the new catalog in January.. so here is it...

I think it's safe to tell you that you are going to LOVE the new catalog in January!!  (no we didn't get to see the whole thing!) :)
