Watch my FREE Video Tutorial below and learn 4 fun ways to color the Stampin' UP! Petal Passion designer paper, using Stampin' Blends marker, Ink Pads and a Sponge Dauber or Sponge Brayer, and a Stampin' Spritzer. Find this amazing paper for a limited time only in the 2018 Stampin' UP! Occasions catalog on page 23, or HERE in my online Stampin' UP! store.
As I mentioned in my video tutorial above, I colored the background of one card with my Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends marker. It just lends a completely different feel to this Petal Passion designer paper!
Below: I colored the background of the other card with my Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends Marker.
Below: one design note of interest.. I colored the 1/4" Whisper White Organza ribbon with my Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends marker so that it would coordinate with my card (on the right). Have you tried creating custom colored ribbon?
Thank you for joining me today! Are you going to try coloring on Petal Passion Paper?
I think I may have created my most favorite card EVER.... can you guess which one below is my favorite?
I made both of these cards by coloring with my Stampin' Blends markers onto Petal Passion black and white designer paper!
For the card above, I colored with the Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends markers on the designer paper in the background, then layered a piece of Vellum cardstock over it to soften the boldness, and added the Thank You and die cut flowers. I colored the Thank You with the Old Olive Stampin' Blends and the flowers from the Petal Palette stamp set with the Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. The card base is Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and I LOVE how it really makes the colors pop and feel so fresh!

The Thank You stamp is found in an "online only" set (it's not in any catalog yet). The set is called Color Me Happy and can be found HERE in my online store for wood mount, or HERE for clear mount.. I stamped it onto Thick Whisper White cardstock with Memento Black ink, then colored them with each of the pairs of Stampin' Blends markers!
They are die cut with the Stitched Shape oval framelit die. The shadow on each Thank You is colored with the light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends marker.
Below: The Color Me Happy kit and stamp set.
The set and kit are available separately or as a bundle. See the BOTTOM of this post for all online store links.
When adding vellum to your project, it's best to use adhesive where you know something else will cover it, so I added adhesive right in the center under the oval "thank you" and the flower die cut.
The card below also features coloring on the Petal Passion designer paper with Stampin' Blends with Cherry Cobbler and Real Red cardstock. I finished off the card with a piece of Pear Pizzazz shimmery ribbon.

Today's card is brought to you by the Petal Passion Suite and the Heart Happiness stamp set in the Stampin' UP! Occasions catalog! The floral heart stamp image makes my heart happy, so I think the stamp set it apply named!! :)
I stamped the floral heart image from Heart Happiness on Thick Whisper White cardstock, with Memento Black ink, then colored it with a couple shades of Stampin' Blends markers (Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette, and Old Olive). Then I decided to color all the white area around the flowers and leaves with my light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends. I die cut it with the Sweet & Sassy heart framelit before mounting it to my card.
The "love life" sentiment and flower are preprinted onto a Petal Passion Memories & More card. I just colored over the black print, then also die cut it with the Sweet & Sassy heart framelit before adding it to my card.
My card base is a Smoky Slate folded card, and I layered a 4"x5-1/4" piece of Petal Passion designer paper onto the card base. I tied 2 layers of ribbon around the card: Whisper White Organza ribbon (pg 23 Occasions catalog) and Basic Gray Shimmery ribbon (pg 9 Sale-a-Bration catalog). The ribbon is part of a 3-pack, and can be your FREE GIFT with $50 purchase!! Click for more Sale-a-Bration info!
Stampin' Up! was so generous to give us this Flying Home stamp set at a leaders event in November in Salt Lake, and I immediately fell in love with it! I love birdies, I feed them in my backyard, and I love coloring in the images in this set with the Stampin' Blends markers!
After stamping the bird nest image onto Thick Whisper White paper with Memento ink, I colored it with Stampin' Blends markers. I colored in the background with light Pool Party Stampin' Blends to give it the look and feel of the birds nest being on a branch outside in the sunshine!
Find the Flying Home stamp set on page 41 in the 2018 Occasions catalog, or click the links below to see it in my online Stampin' Up! store.
Above: At first I just created this card on a small thick Whisper White Note card (top image) and then I decided to "step it up" and I layered the Whisper White panel onto a Sale-a-Bration Tutti-Frutti blue polkadot card base with some extra layers of designer paper from the Tutti-Frutti paper stack. I really like them both. Do you have a preference?
Above: the Stampin' Blends markers I used. They are offered in a complete set of all colors, or individually, OR, even in pairs of light and dark for each color!
Below: you can see that I stamped the bird house images a few times on the card in the background with Crumb Cake ink, as well as on the note card envelope flap. I also layered the stitched shape circle onto a scalloped Daffodil Delight circle from the Layering Circle framelits (all products available in my online store.. just click any product photo images at the bottom of this post). The final touch for the birthday version was some Linen Thread tied around the note card.
I pulled out some Stampin' UP! In Colors to create today's cards for you! These Heartfelt Blooms cards feature Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Berry Burst and one "non" In Color, Calypso Coral.
The beautiful Heartfelt Blooms set is one of the 2018 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration stamp sets you might select with your $50 order during Sale-a-Bration! See it on page 4 of the brochure, or pictured below:

Design Tips to Note:
Use a Stampin' Blends marker to color your Metallic Enamel shapes to coordinate with your project (above). I used Light Rich Razzleberry and Light Calypso Coral on these cards
Use the Petal Pair embossing folder (below) on the left side of this card for an added touch of dimension and flowers (it's on pg 23 of the 2018 Occasions catalog and EASY TO MISS!)
Try out several different ribbons when making cards like these.. I used Peekaboo Peach Seam Binding, Berry Burst metallic edge ribbon, Berry Burst Seam Binding and the FREE Calypso Coral shimmery ribbon (pg 9 in the Sale-a-Bration brochure). (See all of these products at the bottom of this blog post.. click any photo to shop in my online Stampin' Up! store)

After coloring the Thank You image with the Calypso Coral and Smokey Slate Stampin' Blends on Thick Whisper White cardstock, I die cut it with the Stitched Shape oval framelit. (remember to always stamp with the Black Memento Ink pad when coloring with Stampin' Blends).
I paired the Thank You image with the heart from the Ribbon of Courage set, and colored them both with the new Stampin' Up! Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. They color and blend beautifully!

I was thrilled to see how nicely the Stampin' Blends markers color on Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock, so I decided to just color an entire village for this Christmas card using the Hometown Greetings Stampin' UP! edgelit dies!
I die cut houses from the Hometown Greetings edgelit dies / Hearts Come Home bundle, and colored them with my Stampin' Blends markers. I layered them onto a folded Thick Whisper White card base, measuring 8-1/2" x 4" (when folded). The key to layering the strips of houses is to use LOTS of Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals to give it a really dimensional look!
Stampin' Blends marker holder from Stamp-n-Storage available here.
On the right side of the card I also added a couple of die cut trees from the Card Front Builder thinlit die set.
All supplies to create this card are available in my online Stampin' UP! store. Scroll to the bottom of this blog post to see all of the products and click any product to see it in my online store.
Thank you for joining me! I hope you like this simple Christmas Card idea!
I am in love... in love with Stampin' Blends markers from Stampin' Up!!! I love to color! And these markers make it so easy to blend colors, shade and bring stamped images to life!
I'm excited to share my video tutorial with you! Watch the video belowto see my coloring, blending and shading tips for your Stampin' Blends markers and these images from the Just Add Color designer paper as well as the Rose Wonder stamp set! The rose image is stamped with Memento Black ink on Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock. The other images are preprinted on the Just Add Color paper.

Thank you for joining me today! Hope you enjoyed these Stampin' Blends Tips!
This is the fun "coloring book" style preprinted paper I used in my video above!
It seems like I've had this stamp set for a long time, and now that Stampin' Up! has released the Stampin' Blends markers, I thought this was the perfect time to bring out this set and practice coloring! I paired the Crafting Forever stamp set with the Pick a Pattern designer paper for these fun cards. They make me think of my dad, the artist, with his dozens of paint brushes!
As you can see in the photo below, I used almost all of my new Stampin' Blends markers to color these 2 images of pots with paint brushes. I stamped them on Thick Whisper White cardstock with Memento black ink as recommended when coloring with the Blends markers, and I had so much fun coloring! Then I die cut them with the Stitched Shape Oval framelit dies and added them to my cards.
For the card below, I added the Stitched Shape oval to a Crushed Curry Scalloped oval die cut, then added some Emerald Envy Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon to the top fold Thick Whisper White card, wrapped around 2 patterns from the Pick a Pattern paper pack!
I stamped the greeting on Thick Whisper White cardstock as well, and die cut the one above with the Stitched Shape oval and the one below with the Stitched Shape circle. I added Black Rhinestones to the tag above. I inked the entire greeting with Bermuda Bay ink then colored "creative" with my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker before stamping.
Although these 2 cards use basically the same supplies, it's fun to see how differently they turned out.
The card base and scalloped oval above are Tangerine Tango cardstock, and the greeting is stamped in Tangerine Tango ink, to go with my terra cotta pot :) I colored one of the silver metallic shape hearts with the Tangerine Tango Stampin' Blends marker to perfectly embellish the greeting!
All of the patterned paper designs in these cards are from the Pick a Pattern paper pack HERE online.
Thank you for reading my blog post today! I hope these Stampin' Blends cards inspired you!

How cute is this Stampin' Up! Bella & Friends doggie with the Santa Hat!?
I absolutely could not wait to share this with you!
This image is stamped using two stamp sets: Bella & Friends, and Santa's Suit. The hat is masked with a post it note after stamping, then the doggie is stamped on top. (details in the video below). Stamp using the Memento Black ink pad for best results when using Stampin' Blends markers!
I colored it with the new Stampin' Up! Stampin' Blends markers after watching a GREAT video tutorial by Stampin' Sacha! It was so easy when I followed her instructions, so I thought you'd love to see it too!
The secret to creating this amazing shading, aside from using the new Stampin' Blends markers is to use the light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend marker first... watch the video below and you'll see what I mean.
Christmas background paper? It may be a bit unexpected... but I used the Merry Little Christmas leaf print paper for the background of these Falling Flowers note cards featuring the new Stampin' Blends markers!
These are some of the cards I'm taking with me to Salt Lake City this week to swap with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators! We are excited to learn about new products, learn new techniques, see the new 2018 Occasions catalog and 2018 Sale a Bration free gift offerings, and of course to see our friends, laugh, eat, and give lots of hugs!
I created these cards with the Falling Flowers stamp set and Stampin' Blends markers per THIS VIDEO.
The "it's your day" greeting is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, stamped with Memento Black ink on the thick Whisper White Note card. The leaves are stamped with Lemon Lime Twist ink onto Pear Pizzazz cardstock and punched with the leaf punch. Save 10% by purchasing the Painted Harvest bundle which includes the leaf stamp and punch!
All flowers are stamped using the Falling Flowers stamp set, stamped in Memento Black ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock, colored with Stampin' Blends markers, and die cut with the May Flowers framelits.
Above: TIP! Make a fun dotted border!! Use the Swirly Snowflakes border framelit!
You may have been reading on my blog or facebook page about my indecision about what color to color these Falling Flowers images for my Stampin' UP! OnStage swap cards... well... as you can see, I couldn't decide and I just made a whole bunch of different ones! I love them all!
for coloring tips with the Stampin' Blends markers
Above: coloring done with Pink Pirouette and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends markers
I used a piece of the Night of Navy patterned paper from the Delightful Daisy designer paper pack as the background and inspiration for this card. I added the Night of Navy Gingham ribbon, and colored White Perfect Accents to the card to carry the Navy theme, and then let the colored flower and punched leaves "pop".
Above: coloring done with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends markers
The leaves are stamped and punched using the Painted Autumn bundle (Pear Pizzazz cardstock and Lemon Lime Twist ink), and the greeting is from the Dragonfly Dreams set, stamped in Calypso Coral ink on Whisper White.
Each flower is stamped with Memento Black ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock, colored with Stampin' Blends markers, then die cut with the May Flowers framelits, and popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals on the thick Whisper White Note Cards.
