Today I'm sharing a quick shadow tip featuring the Stampin' UP! Stampin' Blends markers!
I colored the amazing black and white flower images that are printed on the Petal Passion designer paper with my Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends, then colored the leaves with the Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. But what really makes this little piece stand out, is the shadow. I used the light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends marker to add a "shadow" beside each image, and they almost appear to be floating!
After I colored this little strip, I added it to a Bermuda Bay folded card base with a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock on top. I added a Thank You image (from Color me Happy) stamped in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock (die cut with the Stitched Shape Framelits) and colored with the Pool Party Stampin' Blends markers, and then I decided to stamp the 2 little flower images from the Petal Palette stamp set.
Not sure if you noticed my mistake... but AFTER I had the card all done, I realized I had attached the colored flower strip to the card upside down.. so all my "shadows" were on the top side of the images.. I thought that looked odd, so I added more shadowing with the light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends... oh well... good enough.. right?
