When a new Stampin' UP! catalog debuts do you ever feel like there are just not enough hours in your week to play with all the fun new goodies!? That's how I'm feeling right now! I'm bouncing around playing with each suite as quickly as I can!!
Today I am sharing a card and cute treat holder project featuring the Coffee Break Suite, found on pages 30 and 31 in the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! catalog!
I created a cute side-fold card featuring the green and brown colors found in the Coffee Break Designer paper, and used the cute coffee cup stamps in the Coffee Cafe stamp set, then cut them out with the Coffee Cups framelits. I embellished with the adorable Corrugated Elements heart and some Crumb Cake Classic Weave ribbon. (all found on pg 31 or HERE online).
Although it's difficult to see in the photo, after I stamped the "whipped cream" in Soft Suede ink, I used my Clear Wink of Stella to add shimmer and color the topping just a bit.. it's pretty in person!! And the straw… the straw.. I'm telling you.. what a cute addition to this set!!
I thought the coffee cup would be cute layered onto an oval, so I die cut the Coffee Break paper with the Layering Ovals framelits, then layered that onto a Crumb Cake scalloped oval layer, also die cut with the Layering Ovals framelits.

I am not a coffee drinker but this is one of my favorite sets and I love the papers as well. The card is really cute and I love the little corrugated heart on there. Now the treat holder is fun too. I could fill it with tea bags easily and use the little to go cup which I think is really the cutest. Who would have thought to use the teeny framelit to cut out the little to go cups from the DSP? I give my FIL a coffee gift card a lot and was needing some new inspiration. I have it now! Thanks Patty!

I just ordered this suite and I’m impatiently waiting for it to arrive now!! I think this is one of the best collection of coffee-themed products Stampin’ UP! has put together, and the colors of the DSP are awesome. I love all the little details of your card from the corrugated elements to the shimmery whipped cream and the way you combined all the different DSP patterns effortlessly. I would LOVE for it to show up in my mailbox so I can marvel over it in person! 🙂

What an inspiration! I usually wait until I see several ideas using a stamp set or DSP before I put on my wish list. I truly like the matching of the colors and papers used in the background with emphasis of the coffee cup brought forward. It would be a prize indeed!
