SNEAK PEEK! 2016 Occasions catalog and Sale a Bration Brochure
I'm really excited about the new products coming soon from Stampin' Up! in the 2016 Occasions Catalog!! I have been having fun coming up with a variety of color combos for these Balloon Celebration stamps!! They make great birthday cards, congrats cards, or most any fun occasion card!!
And of course what's even better than a new stamp set..... a new stamp set with a matching punch!! Hooray for the Balloon Bouquet Punch AND how about a 15% discount as well!? yay!!
I needed lots of Thank you Cards, so I grabbed 2 packs of Stampin' Up! Whisper White Note Cards, and stamped all the balloon strings in Smoky Slate, then had fun making different balloon color combos. I stamped most of the balloons right on the cards and then stamped some of them on a piece of Whisper White and punched them out with the Balloon Bouquet punch, adding them to the cards with a Stampin' Dimensional.
You really can't go wrong with any festive color combo for these cards.. just grab 2, 3 or 4 coordinating colors of Stampin' UP! ink pads and have fun stamping balloons! Do be mindful of "overlapping colors".. you don't want to make mud when you overlap the colors.
I love the new little colorful enamel dots.. did you see them on the card above?
THEN, don't forget the finishing touch.. a little bit of glimmery, shimmery, happiness.. the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush pen! I did a few semi circle strokes with the clear glitter pen on a few of the balloons.. just the perfect touch!
2 of the greetings are stamps from a new Sale a Bration stamp set ... one of the FREE items you can select with your $50 order coming up in January!! The Happy Birthday and Hooray! stamps are in the Perfect Pairings Sale a Bration set on pg 11 of the Sale a Bration brochure.
Other greetings I used were from the Watercolor Wishes card kit, which is an amazingly versatile set!!

I love that I can easily remove and use the framelit, and then replace the pieces onto the magnet cards without any other packaging!
As you can see above and below, I cut the Staples Poly file folders down into smaller pieces and used them for my dividers! I cut them to 7" wide to fit the boxes perfectly. I used my P-Touch label maker to create categories. You are welcome to copy my suggested categories, or do what works for you! To see how easy it is to make file folder tabs with the Envelope Punch board, WATCH THIS VIDEO.
Each magnetic card is labeled with my P-Touch label maker. You could also add the Stampin' UP! product code, or # of dies per set to the label.
I am super happy with my current storage solution!! Stamp n Storage is a terrific company right here in the USA and they have always provided me with top notch service!
Stampin' UP! offers the Big Shot Die cutting machine as well as a wonderful selection of framelits, thinlits and edgelits. I'm providing shopping links below for you, should you wish to purchase any of them.
Most framelits and thinlits are available at a 15% discount when you purchase the matching stamp set in a bundle - SEE all bundles here

As we reflect back on the past year, and think about the highlights we want to share with you, it becomes hard to narrow down 365 days into one letter, so I hope you will enjoy this quick recap of a few of our treasured memories of the past year!
The very exciting news for Jason in 2015 was that he was hired by the same Structural Engineering firm where Eric has been working for nearly 2 years!! Eric and Jason ride in to work together (it's a LONG commute - very typical for the San Francisco Bay Area) which gives them lots of father/son time together!
Jason has become an amazing addition to the team at DPAE and has taught himself AutoCAD, he has learned so much about structural drafting, he performs roof truss shop drawing reviews, does Title 24 calculations (California Energy Efficiency Code) and even writes custom AutoLISP codes for the engineers and drafters for their AutoCAD program!
I know they all enjoy Jason's helpfulness and of course his amazing sense of humor ... and funny t-shirt collection! :)
Fun news for Eric... after nearly 15 years of driving his Avalon he got a 2016 Nissan Maxima... and wow is it DREAMY!
We had a Maxima back in the very early 1990's and have always thought about getting another one.. this one has all the bells and whistles and he even has some lady inside his dashboard who reads him incoming text messages! You'll also notice it's 49er red. :)
Eric will celebrate 2 years with DPAE in February and has been an amazing asset to the company. He told me they call him "the artifact" ... he is like the keeper of all the structural knowledge with his 35+ years of experience!
I had several milestones this year, and the 2 most notable were that I celebrated 20 years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and reached my $1 million in career sales milestone! I was the 9th demonstrator in the 27 year history of the company to reach this level of sales! We were treated to a 3 day stay in Utah at the Stampin' UP! home office just last week where they threw a huge party for us and welcomed us with cheers, gifts, amazing hospitality and even a beautiful snowy winter wonderland snowstorm! :) (read more about it here)
Building my business over the past 20 years through hundreds (thousands?) of in-person events, meeting new crafters, and then developing online relationships through my PattyStamps.com blog and social media has been a very rewarding and fulfilling journey! I am so grateful that after a fabulous career in the engineering industry God opened this door for me and diverted my path to Stampin' UP!
One of the perks I love the best about my job is the opportunity for travel. I have been earning an annual free trip with Stampin' UP! since 2001, and in 2015 the 3 of us traveled to Hawaii compliments of Stampin' UP! We were also able to spend a week in San Diego for a Stampin' UP! OnStage event, and then as I mentioned above, we were treated to an amazing stay at the Grand America in Utah just last week as we celebrated my one million dollar sales achievement!
Do you remember the cute altered mirror from Hobby Lobby that I shared with you a few days ago? (see it here if you missed it). I was making it for a gift exchange with my Luv 2 Stamp Group, and I decided to make the home decor piece below for our house!
While I was cutting out plenty of extra penguins and snowmen from the Snow Friends and Snow Place stamp set and matching dies for my gift exchange mirror, I added the extras to this cute sleigh from Hobby Lobby!
I attached them to the decorative piece with Stampin' Dimensionals.
It's very glittery... something I usually steer very clear from, but I just loved this, and loved the red and blue color combo, so I used Real Red and Tempting Turquoise ink for the penguin and snowmen embellishments! :)
Don't they just look like they are having a great party!? :) I dressed them up in their top hats and pearls.. I think it looks like they are having a great time!
It's like paper dolls for grown ups!!
GREAT NEWS!! You can still purchase these darling snowmen and penguins and matching framelits for the next several months... check out page 48 of the upcoming 2016 Occasions catalog and you'll see them there on the list of Holiday catalog products still available!! yay!!
Did you know that Stampin' UP! is a "global company"? We have demonstrators and customers in all of these countries:
U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, Austria, and Japan!
In celebration of being a global company, Stampin' UP! has a great new suite of products called Going Places on pgs 38 and 39 in the new 2016 Occasions Catalog!
This is a card we made at the November OnStage event using these fun new supplies: Going Global stamp set, Going Global paper, and the World Traveler embossing folder. I came home and embellished my card with some candy dots, washi label punch and some Lost Lagoon striped ribbon.
If you want to get a sampling of this great new designer paper plus all of the other paper in the new Occasions catalog, please be sure to JOIN MY PAPER SHARE! :)
We used the Crumb Cake ink pad and added ink directly to the embossing folder, then just pressed it down on our cardstock (we did not run it through the Big Shot).. it gave this really neat impression of the globe in the background!
All of these new supplies will be available starting January 5, 2016 in my online store here!
This is one of the projects that I created and swapped at the Stampin' Up! San Diego OnStage event in November. It uses a folded polka dot Tag a Bag from Stampin' Up! The Simply Scored board from Stampin' Up! makes this project SO easy!!
The video features other products from the Holiday catalog, and this project features the Perfect Pines tree die cuts that coordinate with the Peaceful Pines stamp set.
This double pocket project has a spot to tuck in a note, a photo, a letter, a Project Life card, or a 2nd gift card!
I die cut the trees out of the White Corrugated Paper (do you like it Cindee?), for a crisp clean contrast to the Mossy meadow plaid punched circle. I placed the circle on a Metallic Doily.. I love those!!!
These were the swaps I took to the OnStage event.. I love swapping projects with other demonstrators and getting new ideas!
Oh my goodness.. what a whirlwind, amazing, fantastic, fabulous 4 days in Utah!!!
We have arrived home from our Million Dollar Celebration and activities at the Stampin' UP! home office in Riverton, UT .. and our hearts and minds are so full of wonderful memories.. it was just the most amazing trip EVER!!
Jason, Eric & Patty Bennett with Sara & Sean Douglass
Stampin' UP! allows the Million Dollar sales achievers to request whatever they'd like to do and I asked to tour several departments at Stampin' UP! as well as have a stamping day with Sara - Interim CEO of Stampin' UP!. I have watched Sara grow up over my 20 years as a Stampin' UP! demonstrator and we have become friends through the Stampin' Up! incentive trips and Founder's Circle retreats.. she is one amazing person, sweet, kind, funny, adorable and one smart cookie!! (oh and she dresses super cute, too!) :)
So.. I asked to have a stamp day with her at her house.. she quickly suggested that we stamp at her mom's house, even though her mom, Shelli, and her dad Sterling, are away serving a mission trip for their church. I didn't hesitate one second and said SURE! I'd love to stamp at your mom's house!!
(heart pounding with excitement.. stamping WITH Sara AT Shelli's house.. are you kidding me!?) :) :) :)
I asked if we could create a Project Life album with the photos from the first day of our visit at Stampin' UP!... and of course they made it happen!!! The amazing photographers at Stampin' UP! took tons of pix on day 1 of our trip to the home office and got them all printed for us... then together, we put them in an album the next morning as shown above!!
While we were crafting... guess who Facetimed us... Shelli!! What a treat to say hi to her and also to Sterling, all the way from Hawaii!! ;) Thank you Shelli! It was so fun to have you "there with us" for a few minutes, and thank you for letting us use your amazing home!
Ben shot a video of us while we crafted, and I'll be sharing that with you after the holidays!! (sooooo excited!!!!)
Jon was there too, taking photos of us, Merilee grabbed my phone and took photos, so we have a very well documented time together!! (thank you, thank you!)
That afternoon, Dirk (one of the amazing photographers at Stampin' UP!) showed me how they photograph all the catalog samples and we did a photo shoot of all my Project Life album pages... I'll be sharing those with you soon!
I was so excited to see exactly how easy Sara made our Project Life experience as we created our album.. it was so fun!!! I have been hesitant to start my Project Life journey, and I don't know what I've been waiting for!! I have multiples of all of the boxes of Project Life by Stampin' Up! cards, lots of albums, and tons of (empty!!) pages to fill (and 80 billion photos).. NOW I feel totally prepared to go forth and document our lives!!
I will be sharing all the pages of our album as well as lots more photos with you over the coming weeks, but just wanted to get this post on my blog and encourage you to GET READY TO DOCUMENT YOUR LIFE with me... so grab your Project Life supplies in the online store, select some photos, and let's do this together in 2016!!
Stampin' UP! offers several different varieties and themes of Project Life cards, albums, and pages to document your photos and memorabilia. (See ALL Stampin' Up! Project Life supplies here). We used the 6x8 album and pages and the upcoming Memories in the Making cards and Accessory pack (coming Jan. 5, 2016 in the Occasions/Spring catalog). I've listed a few supplies below that you may want to order soon if you'd like to take my Project Life Challenge in 2016 with me!
I thought you might enjoy some photos from our Luv 2 Stamp Group Holiday Gift Exchange last weekend!
The gifts we exchange each year are to be something we make using Stampin' Up! products. The variety of gifts every year at our annual event is always amazing! This year was no different! Thank you to the lovely ladies who participated today.. Karen, Amanda, Gina, Joy, Maria, Lorena, and Cindee!
The decorated mirror piece shown here is the gift I brought to the exchange. I bought the mirror at Hobby Lobby and decorated it with die cut Snow Friends Snowmen and Penguins! I thought it was soo cute!!
