982 Pennies... are you KIDDING me?!?

I just had to laugh the other day (or else I would have cried).... I waited in line at the Post Office for 40 minutes because the lady at the counter was paying for her transaction with a bag of 982 Pennies!!!!    I am not kidding!!  No, they were not in rolls.. they were in a bag much like the one in this photo (except it was a Macy's bag)... and trust me, the P.O. employee was NOT thrilled.  He counted them EVER so s-l-o-w-l-y to make a point of the fact that paying for your transaction with 982 pennies was NOT a wonderful thing to do with a line of people out the door!!

I almost ran up there and paid for her transaction with a $10 bill, but I didn't, because I did NOT WANT her bag of 982 pennies in exchange and I didn't have enough cash for her transaction plus mine!!  .... oh well... it was entertaining and gave everyone in line something to talk about!

OK, now back to your regularly scheduled program...

Embosslit Flowers

One more thing I'll be demonstrating at our Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting on Saturday is the Embosslit flowers.... aren't they cute when you add a little sponging with the Sponge Dauber!?   :)  Try one shade darker than your cardstock... for instance I used Regal Rose ink on Pink Pirouette c/s, and Summer Sun and Regal Rose ink on So Saffron c/s.

Scalloped Corners

On one of my email groups we were discussing ways to get scalloped corners on our projects.. I played with my Scallop Edge punch and my Eyelet Border punch and came up with this....

if you snip off a corner of your cardstock, and slip that into either of the above punches, you can get fun scalloped corners... give it a try!
