5 Fun Free Projects - part 1

As I previously mentioned (here), I hold an event for my downline called 5 Fun Free day... those who qualify get to come make 5 Fun Free projects! (well, I HOPE they are fun.. I KNOW they are free!)  My gals had a great time last Saturday!

Here are 2 of the projects they made.

Basket/box made from 4 of the Envelope Dies and the Stampin'  Up! Big Shot!

Env die basket

4 envelope dies, ready to make the basket..

My friend Dannie Graves has EXCELLENT instructions to make this basket/box on her blog HERE.

Project #2: This is a 4-1/4" square card, and was inspired by my friend Barb.

Die flower cards

This card features the Daisy Flower Big Shot Sizzlit die.  I enjoyed using Sage Shadow on this card.. I had not used that color in YEARS, but it is in the Autumn Vine DSP and looks great with the More Mustard and Chocolate Chip!

Stamp A Stack Class Samples - Oct. '08 - part 3

The last 2 of the 5 card designs from my Stamp A Stack class this week were pretty quick and easy cards.. I love featuring Stampin' Up! Designer Series paper on my card designs... this one uses "Urban Garden".  Everyone LOVED this paper!  It's a 4-1/4" square card.

This card features either Kiwi Kiss or Not Quite Navy cardstock (stampers choice) and the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set.  I also used the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware, and their choice of ribbon: Kiwi Satin Ribbon, Vanilla Taffeta or Cream 1/4" grosgrain.

And behind door #2.... we have the last card from my Stamp A Stack class.. a Tangerine Tango top-fold card with Hawaii Papaya DSP.  I provided a variety of stamps so they could make a birthday, thank you, friend, etc., card based on what they needed most.

Again, a nice variety of ribbon was available.. gotta love these FUN fall colors!

Stamp A Stack Class samples - Oct '08 - part 2

Here is another card from my Stamp A Stack class this week.  I think this card is just TOO much fun...  I got a swap like this at Convention in July, (NO name, no email, no recipe.. nothing.. so if it was YOU, thank you for the cute idea)!  :)

The 3 purses are all made from Stampin' Up! punches!!    Stamp the cardstock first with the TOTALLY TABS stamp set,  and then do all the punching!

Sas oct 08 4

The card is Pink Pirouette.  The purses are punched from Brocade Blue, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink and I used the Rich Regals brads. Can you believe it took 7 punches to make these!?  :)  You can view all the punches in the On Line Catalog HERE.

October '08 Stamp A Stack cards part 1

Yesterday I posted a video with a couple of tips.. here are the cards featured in that video.

These are for my Stamp A Stack class this week.  Each person makes 10 cards - 2 each of 5 designs.

For this card, I wanted to provide a masculine card option for our class, so I used the Stampin' Up! Designer paper from the Holiday Treasures and Chocolate Chip packs, featuring the browns and greens.  These can be used as gift card holders, or can include just small notecards. They are made from the Small Open End Kraft envelopes.  You can CLICK HERE to see how I turn the envelope into these gift card holders - if you haven't already guessed how.

A small note and/or gift card tucks nicely inside.

Here is the 2nd card featured on the video, and in my Class this week.  I wanted something for weddings or anniversaries.

This card is a 3x6 card that opens on the side and fits in the Whisper White Small Open End Envelope.  It features the beautiful Urban Garden DSP and the Always Stamp set.  "Love" comes from the "Join the Cheer" Big Shot die.

Info for placing the Rhinestone brad in the center of the Button Bouquet button can be found on the video.

Big Shot Die Video Tip

While prepping for my upcoming Stamp A Stack classes this week, I discovered a couple cool tips, and I thought you might enjoy seeing them in video form.

Not sure what's up with YouTube.. this video is crystal clear on my computer, but when uploaded to YouTube it seems really grainy...  sorry about that... hope you still find it helpful!

The cards on this video will be shown in more detail on my blog later this week.

Leadership Summit Trip to Utah

Last week I was in Utah again, for a Leadership Summit with Stampin' Up!   It was a wonderfully productive time with top demonstrators, owner Shelli Gardner, and the Stampin' Up! Corporate Team.  I came away full of ideas and energized with passion for my business!

Now, I can't tell you anything we discussed or show you the new DSP that we got (!!!!!) ... if i did, they could tie me up to a tree and shoot me, because we all signed a confidentiality agreement... but, I can show you a few photos!

As we took off from the Oakland airport, I snapped this fun photo of the bay and San Francisco - our house is to the right of this photo:

I know it's kind of hazy through the airplane window.. you can click to see it larger.

Fun photo of Lake Tahoe:

Our meetings were at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah.. what a neat area!  I needed an extra day for shopping... or maybe an evening without a migraine - I didn't get to go through the wonderful shops - waaaah.

Tower and store

When we entered our meeting room on day 1, we had this amazing gift waiting for us.. a personalized journal HAND MADE by Shelli and Pam, with help from Shelli's mom and a couple other friends!  HOW COOL IS THAT!?  I will treasure this always!

We had a wonderful motivational speaker, Pat Pearson... and on day 2, Stampin' Up! had purchased 2 books for us - one by Pat - and they had hand stamped bookmarks for us too!

We were also given a new personalized stamp - one for each of us - and they said we could go ahead and use it now, even though it won't be out until the new catalog in January.. so here is it...

I think it's safe to tell you that you are going to LOVE the new catalog in January!!  (no we didn't get to see the whole thing!) :)
